SU College of Ag holds a successful 2025 BAYOU Program
The College of Agricultural, Human and Environmental Sciences (CAHES) hosted 31 high school seniors and incoming college freshmen from Louisiana, Texas, and Iowa for a week during the college’s annual Beginning Agricultural Youth Opportunities Unlimited (BAYOU) Program.

Sterling Brown, a senior agriculture business major in the Southern University College of Agricultural, Human and Environmental Sciences (CAHES), has been appointed the Region I National Undergraduate Vice President in Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources and Related Sciences (MANRRS) organization.

Earielle London, an Urban Forestry major from Baton Rouge, La., was named the Chief Student Marshall of Southern University’s Spring 2025 Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony on May 9, 2025.
