The Office of Planning & Evaluation

The Office of Planning and Evaluation (OPE) coordinates the planning, assessment, and evaluation of the Southern University Agricultural Research and Extension Centerís project and program activities in research, extension and outreach. The OPE compiles and submits strategic plans, progress, outcome, impact, accountability and compliance reports of the SU Ag Centerís projects and programs to the federal and state governments, and other stakeholders.

In addition, the OPE serves as the office of sponsored programs and coordinates electronic submissions of grant proposals to federal agencies and state agencies, and to other funding sources. All grant proposals must be registered at the OPE. The office also handles the post award and subcontract agreements to and from the SU Ag Center.

The OPE serves as a liaison to coordinate the institutional effectiveness efforts to maintain institutional accreditation and reaffirmation with Southern Association of Colleges and Schools-Commission on Colleges (SACS-COC) at Southern University, Baton Rouge.
