SU Ag Center to host its 20th Annual Business Development & Procurement Conference






Baton Rouge, La. – The Southern University Ag Center will host its 20th Annual Business Development and Procurement Conference October 27-29, 2025. The conference, themed “A Legacy of Leadership: 20 Years of Innovation and Impact,” will be held on the Southern University campus in Baton Rouge, La.
Whether your business is just a dream waiting to be launched or an established enterprise ready to scale, the 20th Annual Business Development and Procurement Conference is the place to be. This milestone year is all about creating space for entrepreneurs and business leaders to not only learn, but to truly grow.
“I am excited about our expanded conference format that now includes interactive sessions designed to provide hands-on, personalized assistance,” expressed Dr. Krystle Allen, Conference Director and Community and Economic Development Specialist at the SU Ag Center. “These sessions will help small business owners strengthen capacity, identify new opportunities, and walk away with actionable strategies to move their business forward.”
Attendees will receive information on:
· Match-making: Attendees will have an opportunity to meet with representatives from various local, state, federal, and private agencies to sell their products and services.
· Certifications: Representatives from the small business community will be available to assist businessowners in completing their applications for the various certifications, e.g., 8A, DBE, EBR Fair Share, Hudson, Etc.
· Networking: Attendees will have an opportunity to network with other business owners, industry leaders, community leaders, and government agencies.
· Training: Valuable skills and insights will be provided to assist individuals in growing their businesses.
